Building a healthier community together

At Grande Ronde Hospital, we believe caring for our community means looking beyond our hospital walls. As your Community Benefit Officer, I'm privileged to witness firsthand how collaboration and dedication can transform lives. Through our Community Benefit program, we invest in partnerships and initiatives that address the most pressing health and wellness needs in Union County.

This year's report reflects the work we've accomplished together in fiscal year 2024. From supporting arts programs that inspire and engage our youth to partnering with recovery and wellness initiatives, every grant and collaboration represents our shared commitment to improving the quality of life for everyone in our region.

In the words of young poet Mattie Stephanek, "Unity is strength…when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved." The foundation of our success is built on teamwork, collaboration and most of all listening. Every three years, we conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), gathering input from across Union County to identify gaps and opportunities for action. Your voices guide our priorities, ensuring that our efforts meet the real needs of our community.

As we celebrate the progress highlighted in this year's report, I want to thank each of you—our partners, community leaders and neighbors—for your role in shaping a healthier, more vibrant future. Together, we're building more than a hospital; we're fostering a community where everyone can thrive.

Community Benefit Officer
